Are You A Nympho?
June 11th, 2008
Preoccupations with sex are most common with teens nowadays. It’s a liberty that sociaety has allowed them to pursue, to the extent that the issues against premarital sex are now being ignored—as if they don’t exist at all. It is a common practice, even, to engage in sexual intercourse at a young age. In fact, it is more common to be sexually active than to be celibate.
With that in tow, the fact that sexual activities in teens are common and natural. But now, the trend is changing, and the preoccupations with sex, for some, have become an obsession. In cases such as these, this sexual behavior is no longer normal. It is now a serious condition called Compulsive Sexual Behavior, otherwise known as nymphomania.
Nymphomania is a condition that plagues men more often than women, but that is not to say that women canot be nymphomaniacs. The symptoms of nymphomania may include having multiple sexual partners or extramarital affairs, or having intercourse with anonymous individuals, excessive masturbation, exposing yourself in public, and engaging in sadistic and masochistic sexual practices.
The above mentioned signs and symptoms are the general ones. It is best to remember that disorders and misbehaviors are based on a case-to-case basis, and thus cannot be self-diagnosed. If you or a person you know exhibits the signs and symptoms mentioned, seek an experts’ advice immediately.
